I am running for Judge of the 15th District Court, the jurisdiction of which is the City of Ann Arbor. It would be my honor and privilege to be elected to serve. I would be replacing a judge who has chosen to retire. 2008 is my 22nd anniversary of being an active trial attorney, so I have the experience and seasoning to be a good trial judge. My family and I have a long-standing commitment to public service: I have been an assistant prosecuting attorney in Washtenaw County for 18 years, my husband has been a judge here for 17 years, and I want to continue this tradition. The time is right for me to serve as judge -- my 4 children are settled in college. Appropriately, I have no judicial agenda other than serving my community by working hard to impartially interpret the law and the facts without fear or favoritism.
